Why Arrows & Amens?

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them!

Psalm 127:3-5

My Story

Hi, I’m Maddy — an ex-teacher and prairie girl from Saskatchewan, Canada, now navigating life (and roundabouts) in London, UK. I’m a Jesus-loving wife and mama to two little ones: a busy toddler who keeps me on my toes and a snuggly baby who thinks sleep is optional. Most days, you’ll find me juggling snacks, nappies, and Bible storybooks—usually all at once.

I started this blog as a way to share the simple, faith-filled moments that happen in the chaos of everyday parenting. I wanted a space to encourage other Christian parents who, like me, are figuring it out one prayer and sticky hand at a time. Whether it’s toddler-friendly Bible activities, gentle faith-based parenting tips, or just a reminder that you’re not alone in the mess, my hope is that you leave here feeling uplifted.

This isn’t about having it all together—because trust me, I don’t. It’s about growing in grace alongside our kids, one ordinary moment at a time. Thanks for being here—I’m so glad we get to walk this journey together!

“I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; on the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the one holy church both visible and invisible, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.”
